When I turn on the car the rear brake lamps stay lit. The third brake light is still functional though and works when I push the pedal down. So it is not the brake light switch. I have disconnected that and also the signal switch to see if that was the problem but they still stay on. The hazards and blinkers work while the car is running but while not running the back hazards do not flash.

Hello,

It sounds like you you have a BCM that is out and needs to be replaced. Here is its location so you can get the repair done. (Below)

I would try to get a used one so you wont need to have it programmed.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
