I replaced the entire engine cradle on my vehicle listed above and most of the front-end suspension parts. It was extremely difficult to remove the brake hose retention clip in the photo. I need to put the same clip back on the passenger side to secure the new hose. I'm asking for help in installing this old brake clip the easiest way possible, please, and thank you!

Yep, those can be tough sometimes, the new clip or hose is slightly different in size, I would try fitting the clip onto the hose before installing it on the frame. You might need to file the clip opening a little bit larger. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I didn't realize when I removed the retainer clip that it was upside down and both legs were somehow squished together into the same slot. No wonder it was so difficult to remove! I found some brief images while scanning YouTube for the Saturn SL2 that showed the correct orientation of the clip. I also had a Redditor that gave me a brief but helpful clue as to the orientation. I have successfully installed the new brake hose to my brake line and secured it with the retainer clip.
Thanks again for your help!
