What is the symptom? Since you're suspecting the engine computer, which has an extremely low failure rate, can I assume you're troubleshooting a no-spark condition? Did you check for fuel, or just stop when you found the missing spark?
Put your finger on the Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay while someone else runs the ignition switch. When they turn the switch to "Run", the relay should click on then click off after two seconds. It should click on again when they try to crank the engine. If it doesn't click on during cranking, suspect a defective camshaft position sensor or crankshaft position sensor.
