It'll be a pain to fix and can cost a lot to find someone who can weld and patch up the hole then install new coil springs.

What I want to know is if it's possible to mod the rear suspension by replacing it with coil over struts and just remove the coil spring entirely? Can this make and model of the car handle that? If it can, can I also get some good brand recommendations? I'm looking for something affordable but also decent.

Hello, I'm Danny.

If you can it would be great for you to take a picture of the damage with your cell phone and upload here. That way we can see the extent of the damage and go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
