Driver side power window off track

The front off my 2000 Intrepid drivers side window is out of it's track and the back of the window is seated as far back in the frame as it can go, my problem is the front is in front of it's track so when I try and roll it up it's actually getting pined between the door frame and the track. It needs to be slid about an 1/8 inch back to be put back in it's track but with the back of the window already seated back in the frame as far as it can go I have no give or space to slide it back any farther to be able to place the front back in the track. Do I need to unbolt in from the bottom track and actually lift it out and reinstall it at an angle or is there a trick or easier way to do it?I have already try loosen the the front track bolts thinking I could maybe move the track enough to get it back on window but gained no more space or maneuverability what so ever?

Hello,

It sounds like the window regulator is having a problem holding the window in place. I would start by replacing it and that should take car of the problem.

Here is a couple guides and a diagram to help you get it fixed.
