Door will not latch

Door latch in open position but the door keep balancing back and it won’t close. It seems like the latch Isn’t functioning.

Look for obvious damage (that won't allow a fix at this time) Like a big time sagging door, broken components.

Look for the stupid stuff too, like a toy/ lighter/ seat belt/ etc. Wedged in the door not allowing it to close.

Sometimes the latch position is deceiving (or not).

Insure the lock is not on,

hold up on the door handle,

while flicking/ moving the "grasshopper jaws" the other way with a nail/ pen/ etc.

This may or may not make things all better, give it a shot anyway!

If things are not going well, tie it shut from the inside and seek out a body shop man in the morning. Probably a real easy fix for him!

Hopefully anger has not slammed it countless times and it now has worse issues.
