Hi there,

If this is a spot welded attachment , you will need to visit your local panel shop to get this done.

the hinge is plastic. it doesn't look like it could be welded on, so, what do I do to make it stay on?

Hi there,

If it is plastic or any other non metallic material i would says it would be chemically bonded have a word to your panel shop.
