My car listed above (zx2) serpentine belt broke, so I replaced the belt and now when I try to start the car it keeps blowing the 30 amp fuel inj fuse and sometimes it will blow it as soon as you start car and sometimes it takes couple minutes before blowing the fuse. Car was running fine until serpentine belt got replaced and now this problem with not wanting to start and blowing fuse?

Hi,

If the belt broke, there is a good chance that wiring was damaged. Have you inspected wiring around where the serpentine belt runs? Check to make sure none of the harnesses were moved or damaged.

Let me know if you find anything.

No, but there was a big ground wire that was loose unbolted and we fixed it but nothing still. The car will start but once started it blows the 30 amp fuel inj fuse? And none of this happened until after we changed serpentine belt?

Hi,

Okay, the 30 amp fuse powers a few different things. Please bear with me. I am going to try to determine what is close to the belt that could have been damaged.

On the top front of the engine is a variable valve timing solenoid. Check the connector there. I attached a pic from the wiring schematic. Also, check the MAF sensor which is in the air induction tube (between the air box and throttle body), and evap canister purge solenoid which is below the air filter box.

Also, check the wiring to the fuel injectors as well.

Let me know.
