I have the part and the guy at O'Reilly's told me how to do it, but didn't say where under the hood that it is. Yes, I am a blond in disguise. I know this is a simple thing. But I can't find where it is. I found something that looks similar but I'm pretty sure it's to do with the cooling system, not the oil stuff. I'm not so dumb as to think oil goes into where the thermostat is. Can ya tell I'm frustrated? I have a 98 Stratus 4 door and it's a V6-2497 2.5L SOHC. I googled for an engine schematic but I'm not finding anything. And I don't want to play hide and seek with a $12 car part and mess up my car. But I don't want to pay some Bozo $50 for a simple 2 minute deal either.

On the left side of the block, above the oil filter.

Thanks, Merlin, found it, no problem. Unfortunately my fingers aren't strong enough to undo the clip. ARG!
