How can I tell if my heater coil has gone out? I have water leaking in my drivers side floor board.

Leaking water into the passenger compartment is a tell tale sign of bad heater core. But before we blame the heater core, check the two hoses going in and out of the heater core. It probably just one of the hoses leaks.
