I have replaced the brake shoes on this car 3 times with in a few weeks. After I drive a half hour smoke starts coming from the left side rear tire. After it heated up I had to replace drum, bearing, springs and caliper. The same thing is happening again. I suspect the self adjusters, Any advise?

Is it a drum brake or disc? You mentioned a drum and caliper.

Let me know. Also, if it is a disc brake and you are sure the caliper isn't sticking, try replacing the rubber brake hose to the caliper. They deteriate inside and will allow pressure to the caliper but there isn't enough force to push it back. As a result, the brake sticks.

Let me know or if this helps.

I don't recommend bending or defeating the self adjuster. Are they drum or disc brakes? I ask because you mentioned both "drums and caliper" which are two different designes.

Let me know.
