2003 dodge ram 1500, 90,000 miles, 4.7L engine

Truck when idlling, rpm's goes up and down. And when slowing down, truck has started to cut off. The check engine light does not come on. No other problems ever. What could be wrong now?

Usually the Idle air control, but can be Mass air flow sensor, try unplugging the mass air sensor, if it improves that's the culprit.
