I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L turbo diesel. When driving the truck it jerks like it's not getting any fuel into the engine or like it's about to run out of fuel. It only does if I'm driving about 35 or above. The check engine light comes on and off and never stays on for more than a day. I have had a few people look at it and they are all in disagreement, one says it could be the throttle position sensor, one says it could be the transmission control solenoid and another thinks it's the transmission slipping. The only codes that come up when the check engine light comes on are related to the heater.

Could the TPS be the problem? Yes, but, that is usually accompanied by a code. Same with trans control. Your heater code? For the HVAC or the fuel heater?

Check your fuel filter, and above the starter there should be a screen also, it is a lot of work to get that off and clean it out and at 85000miles it really shouldn't have much debris. Finally check the lift pump, if it isn't pushing enough PSI your injection pump will starve. Key on it should run and charge, once it kicks off the truck should fire right up, if it cranks awhile the pump is suspect. Basically the injection pump has to pull its own fuel so it takes a little longer. Might even check with your dodge dealer. Cummins had updated lift pumps as part of a field change, that could have only been on buses etc. Have to check with dodge.
