2001 Dodge Ram code

I believe what you say in the message was "NO BUS". The "BUS" is the system Chrysler uses for it's computers to communicate on this truck. The error in the odometer means that the cluster is not receiving any messages. Any of the computers on the truck can bring down the BUS. Ie pcm, abs, airbag, ctm, cluster, overhead mssg center, etc. The wiring in between can also be the cause. The most common solution to this problem is to remove the gauge cluster and clean the contacts of the cluster. The application of dialectric grease to the electrical contacts will also help greatly.
