I hit the brakes hard and swearved to avoid an accident and heard a ding, looked, saw light flashed real quick "check gages". By the time I looked at all my gages everything looked fine. Then about 20 mins later, I hit the brakes again (this time for a red light) And the light came on again and I was able to see the oil pressure gage drop to zero the go right back up to 35 to 40. Whats up with that?

First, make sure you're not low on oil. If there isn't enough oil in the pan, the quick stop may have caused it to move away from the pick up tube. Pay attention if it happens again. If it does, pay close attention to the engine sounds. If you hear ticking or knocking, shut it off. IF there are no noises from the engine, you may have a bad oil sending unit.

Let me know if you have other questions.
