My 92Dodge van B150 With a 3.9 started acting like I was
running outta gas the other day.I was on the highway doin 70 and felt a hesitation, its been doing it since.
I have to flutter the gas pedal to get up to speed, if I try to accelerate too much, it back fires and keeps bogging down. Its hard to get her up to 35 or 50 but once I'm there, its ok.
I, ve given it a tune-up
replaced fuel filter
checked the coil
replaced fuel pump
taken off converter

She idles fine and I can rev it up, no problem in park and nuetral. But, put it in gear and it feels like its running outta gas as soon as I hit the pedal.
Every thing I've done so far it has needed anyways, But now I dont want to waste money on a part I dont need.
What should I check next?

HI:

First, I would have the computer scanned for codes. Your problem could be one of several. If I had to guess without being there, I would say to check the map sensor. Try to have it scanned and see if there are any codes. If you have an Auto Zone near by, I know they will scann it for free. I'm sure other parts stores do the same.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
