Buying time on head gasket repair

1998 Plymouth Neon, 112K mileage, 6 cyl -- and so if I don't donate, my question won't be answered? I'm not a big fan of posting financial info on the 'net -- sorry!

Anyway, I just dropped $1100 on a brake job on my car and don't have the funds available for another $1200, which is what I've been quoted for the head gasket repair job. I'm being told that, because of the design flaw that created this situation, the head cover warps and the valves all need to be extended to fit the necessary adjustments to the head cover.

True or not, I don't have the money right now. Is there any way to extend my car's time line on this? I live in Phoenix; we're going into summer; today was the first day that the temp started to climb on the car.

What a day!

Dude.

Just so you know. Neons did NOT come with 6 cylinder engines. That misprint could cause the guys here to NOT answer your question. They ask for you to include the make, model, year, mileage and engine size of your car. If something is not correct I dont think they will answer.

Very simple get a Thermagasket/Cold Steel sealant and follow the instructions to the T.

I've done it and it worked and send the remaining balance of the $1200 deniros back to us Lol. Just joking.

Hope this helps-Good Luck.
