2001 Dodge Neon please help me with my car

I was on my way to work, when my car made thissound I thought maybe I ran over something but I didn't, then I coasted to the emergency lane and my and I started it back up and then tried to put it in gear and it wont move, I smelled oil when I coasted to the emergency lane, when it first acted up and it is now leaking oil, what do you think it is. It just won, t engagae, the cluch, but it does seem like the engine is fine

You have no way of giving the transmission power and finding what kind of oil that has leaked is important. It may have caused a clutch failure. Not worth fixing the clutch if your engine has a crack in the block. OK See if you can tell where this leak came from. If it is a small problem, good, but see where.
