Yesterday, my oil light came on and stayed on all day. I checked the oil, and it was fine. Took it in to a repair shop, and they say that the oil pump is not working. My question is this, will a car still run if the oil pump isn't working?
I drove it 15 miles to work and then 15 miles back home, and then around 10 miles to the repair shop with this light on. Engine never made any noise, and the car ran fine.
