Sudden drop in oil pressure

When it runs, it runs great, about 3/4 of the time when the sudden drop of oil pressure occurs, it causes the car to completely stall.
Jiffy Lube (oil change 'experts') put in about a quart+ too much oil and this problem showed up. They said no big deal, the dealer often overfills a quart or two. (Is that true?) They took some out anyway, but I think the damage is done. What is that damage? I see excess oil on the black head covers. Head gasket shot? Should I replace the head gasket? Did it kill the sending unit? Any help would be appreciated.

No it's not normal to over fill the oil. Look on the dipstick and it should say so. With oil on top of the black valve covers, i'd say it's pcv valve time, the part is less than three bucks. If its coming out the filler hole it may have too much, or from under the black valve covers the cover gaskes might need to be replaced or just tighten the bolts holding them down. Hope this helped. And by the way, never use jiffylube for oil changes. I go to walmart and have never had a problem.
