I have a 2002 dodge intrepid, if you run the air on a hot day above 80 it will over heat fast. To the point it beeps anf will turn its self off. Ehat problem can that be and how much to repair it?

Check and replace the thermostat
check coolant fan and its operation
do not allow it to over heat that hi or engine will be damaged
check head gasket
check AC system pressure
