Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Automatic

I was wondering if anyone ever got a answer to the no compression problem after rebuilding the 2.7? I also just rebuilt the 2.7 and made sure #1 cylinder was TDC and set all timming marks up with chain marks(doubled checked) When I went to start it acted like it had no fire! After spending hours trying to troubleshoot it, I decided to check compression in cylinders and found I had no compression anywhere! I seen this guy on here had the same problem to but I never seen anyone come up with a solution! Is there anyone in here that has any ideas what could be causing this? Thank you!

If you have 0 compression in all cylenders, either all cylenders have open valves (timing issue) or the pistons all have holes in them. Even if it was out of time, you would have some compression in some of the cylenders.

Oh sry, I only checked 3 and got mad! I did found out that I am probably off 180 degrees off or so :(, it seem to be pretty easy to do with this engine when tring to set the time! This is the worse engine I ever tried to time! I even have the rebuild manual for it and still cant get it! I know this asking alot, but can someone please give me simple step by step instruction on how to get timed right on this engine? Thank You

Yes they are a pain. Have you checked out the timing belt diagrams site on this page?
