Heater problem
1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Automatic 157300 miles

Yesterday morning my heater worked just fine all all four settings. Later that night after work I went to start my car and the heater only works on the highest setting now. It will let a very little amount of warm air come out on lower settings but not enough to do anything. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum, one thought is the blower resistor. Your lower speeds use a resistor.

I've been having the same problem with my 1999 Intrepid. I've now replaced the resistor 3 times. I read somewhere that it could be that the fan motor is pulling too many amps, which causes the resistor to fail. What do you think? Do you have any documentation/drawings for how to replace the fan motor? Any other suggestions you may have are welcome also. Thanks!

Hi, the info below is 2.7 engine blower removal. Disarm the airbag, where applicable, when working around the dash. Take the negative battery cable loose and isolate it. Wait a few minutes before proceeding.
