I have a 2000 Dodge Durango 4x4 4.7L with 130K miles. We have already replaced the battery, cleaned the connections and checked the connectors, replaced the alternator because it tested out bad and got a new battery with it and the battery still won't hold a charge. We took off the new alternator and had that and the battery checked and those are both fine. We used a code finder and no codes are showing. Any idea's why our battery still keeps draining or how to figure out what the issue is? Thank you so very much for any help that you can give us!

You have a parasitic draw happening. There should be no more than a 50 milliamp draw on the system. While checking the draw, remove and replace a fuse until the draw drops down to acceptable limits, that will be your circuit in question.

Could be the computer not controlling the field circuit to the alty. Both could be good but if the computer don't do its thing it will not charge or take a charge.
