I have a 1998 Durango with the SAME problem. While in motion, the front A/C blows cool air, (Not ice cold, but definitely cool) and the rear blows ice cold. However, every time I stop at a stoplight or for traffic, the front A/C begins to blow warm air. I have verified and confirmed this by using an infrared laser thermometer. Wihle driving, the air temp coming from the vents is around 61 degrees (F), sometimes a little cooler depending on how long I am driving without stopping, however once I stop. The air temp blowing from the vents has jumped all the way to 79 degrees (F).
Something is wrong here and it seems that we are not the only ones having this problem. I am going to contact Dodge and make a formal complaint and see what they have to say about it!
Stay tuned! I plan to let everyone know as soon as I hear something back!
