I change the brakes pads in the rear of the car. I want to start the car and it would not start. The lights come on and the radio works. But won't START. What do you think the problem is.

Thanks

Hello -

Okay so I understand - you changed the brakes now the car won't start at all. You can easily turn the key off/on/start etc and remove it and there is no problem there... Right

When you turn the key to start though... Nothing happens... No engine noise, turning over or nothing. Is this correct?

The vehicle is in park... Yes? Insert the key and move the shift lever from park to 1st back to park and see if the truck starts. Does it start in neutral?

Check fuse 32, 10a in the junction box left kick panel... Use an ohm meter please. Chef Fuse 1, 30A in the power distribution center left side engine compartment.

In the power distribution center, there is the starter relay... Swap it out with a like on and try to start the vehicle.

If all the above is not good then do the following.

Make sure in park and emergency brake on... Take jumper cables and connect to the positive side of the battery and the other end, touch the positive connection point on the starter... Did it turn over?

Hello -

Hey forgot one other thing... Please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and use their tool check out program and get the code scanner. Check your codes, if you find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that.
