I am trying to find out what could be the problem with my truck. The oil pressure dops the check gages light comes on and it will stll out if I do not keep it revedup. Also the exsaust manfold bolt is broken on the passenger side, and I have had a couple of people take a look at it and all they do is listen to the engine & tell me that I need a new engine. Can you offer any suggestions?

At 91K, the engine should be fine unless you never maintained it. Chances are the oil pressure is fine but you have a bad oil sending unit. When they go bad, this can happen. Do you ever hear any knocking or ticking from the engine? NOTE: The sending unit is under 20 dollars.

Why are people saying you need a new engine? At 91K it is just broken in.

If the rods and mains need replaced, then have the engine rebuilt. But, I will say that isn't normal at that mileage.
