Hi! I have a recall on my 2005 dodge durango for the instrument cluster. A few weeks ago I started smelling something like burnt plastic and my interior lights came on and wouldn't go off, then they went out completely. Would the instrument cluster cause this to happen and if so can they test the cluster without the lights working?

Yes but my question is what does the instrument cluster control and will they be able to test the cluster with the light circuit being out. I have heard before that they test the cluster through the light circuit... Is this true?
