Well first of all this problem has been golng on for about a year. It dont happen all the time. I have a fuel gauge that does not work properly. It shows 1/4 tank but when I put a few dollars worth in it it goes all the way up to 1/2 tank which I know aint right, than after you drive it it goes back down to 1/4 tank. Also when you start it and you take your foot of the accelerator it dies. When you start it again you can rev up the engine and sometimes be able to put it in gear and go, but sometimes it will die. A few weeks ago it did it again. I started it just fine and left my house but when I came around a corner I let my foot off the accelerator and it died. When trying to start it several times it wouldnt. It tried to start but wouldnt. I had it pushed into a parking lot and left there till I got off work. When I came back to it, it did it again, but I did manage to get it running and back home and have not drove it since. Some say it may be a fuel pump, gas filter, or maybe just very very very low on gas. Please help me
I have limited funds.

Has th check engine light come on? If not, then I would say it does sound fuel related. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? Have you ever checked fuel pump pressure?

Let me know.

I need you to run a test, a fuel pressure test. Here are the directions. It isn't hard to do, but you will need a pressure gauge to do it. Most nationally recognized parts store will lend or rent them, then return your money when the tool is returned. If you still don't have the funds to rent the tool, try this. When it doesn't start, see if it will start using starting fluid. If it runs for a few seconds and then dies, it's not getting fuel.

Here are the directions for checking fuel pressure:

Let me know what you find. Also, make sure there is at least 2 or 3 gallons of fuel in the tank.
