I have a 2003 dodge dakota quad cab SLT with a 4.7L Magnum v-8 and 30000 miles on it.I just got back from the dealers and was told I needed a evaporator harness replaced costing me 255.00 then they said I needed a tune up for another 178.00, and Air induction service for 115.00 and Trans service for 149.00 could you explain to me what these are? Are they nessecary and are the prices out of line? Thanks for the info.

I really need more info on this.

Why did you take it there if the first place, just for an oil change or other problems, etc?

What are they exactly doing regarding a tune up?

Air induction service are to help remove carbon build up from the throttle plates and intake valves, and I would recommend that, we Charge $65.00

A transmission service is like a oil change, but for the transmission. The fluid is changed and the filter is changed. This is also a good idea. That price may not be out of line.

I need more onfo about the evaporator harness.

IF you would like a referral to an independent shop, I can do a little research. Just need to know the city your in.
