2004 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

code reads evap emission vent/ sol malf circuit high what does this mean and what do i need to do fix this myself? thanks, dennis

The powertrain diagnostics starts with visual, testing for voltage at the correct time it is switched, its ground, and the PCM and wireing for continuity, If it is high resistance it usually means there is an open from either circuit I mentioned, you could just try and replace and reset it, and hope that does it. The computer purges the vapors back into the engine.
