2000 Dodge Dakota Possible problems with Manual transmissio

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota with 115,000 miles. Upon take off, the engine revs higher than normal and take off is slow. Recently I parked the truck on a slight slope, placed it in gear and the truck still rolled forward. Is there a problem with my manual transmission.

It doesn't sound like a trans problem at all. I think you need a new clutch. Have a mechanic test drive it and they'll be able to tell right away.

Do the RPM's seem to go higher when you are in a higher gear like 4th or 5th?
