I would like to know what the RPM range is when the 3.9 v6 dakota shift thru it's 5-speed at each gear?

Hi:
I'm not sure what you are asking. I believe red line is 5K RPM's. Normal shift is around 2500 to 3000 RPM's based on your needs.

I was asking to see if there is rpm range that the computer would know when to shift to each gear. Does the computer notifey when to shift to the next higher gear, and what rpm range for example the 4th gear, would be.

Ok, now I understand. Yes the computer determines when shift's occur. The exact RPM is determined by a speed sensor, vacuum, and engine RPM. I don't have anything that would give the exact RPM.
