Got a quick question for ya fella's. What would cause my RPM's to jump slightly when I'm trying to cruise at a steady speed? It jumps on avg 2-800 rpms. I seen it once jump approx 1.3 grand. I read one article where you stated the O2 sensor. I'll try that, but is there anything else? Is this a common problem?

Personally, I'd look at the trransmission. Sounds like the converter may be unlocking and/or downshifting out of overdrive. A 1300 RPM difference is a lot. I have a 96 Ram and 1300 is about the difference between overdrive and 3rd. By the way, it's not uncommon for these trannies to fail before 100k.

It sure doesn't feel like it's shifting in/out of OD. And it doesn't last for but just a second. And I miss quoted earlier. The RPM gauge jumps one to two tick marks at the most. So only a couple of hundred RPMS at the most.
