1999 Dodge Dakota tin-like rattle coming from underneath

when im driving at certain RPM ranges, i get a "tinny" sounding rattle coming from underneath my truck. i was told it was most likely the catalytic converter but i dont know for sure. any wisdom you could share with me would be much appreciated.

IT could be the inside of the converter has broken loose, or the heat shield is loose. Take a rubber mallot and tap the exhaust with it to see if you can hear the sound. Let me know what you find.
