I have been haveing trouble with the fuses under the hood constently blowing, the last time they blew out, & I replaced them the truck would not start. It does not turn over weak, It has good fire from the spark plugs & turns over strong but does not even attempt to start & doesn't even sputter on gas. It just turns ove as if it was out of gas & there is gas in it & the fuel pump is turning on. I even poured a little bit of gas directly in to ther carb & it made no difference. Any assistance is appriciated! Thanks

Guess what. You have a short somewhere in your circuit so you will have to track down where your short is. Then on the other hand try and replace your coil.

I just tryed a few things, I took the distrutor cap off & turned it over it did exactly the same thing with the distributor cap off, so I put it back on & plug all the wires up to it but left the center wire off, I held a screw driver over it and it did not even throw sparks. All the spark plugs are good, so what could it be, could it be a short going from the battery to the ignition system? Because there is absoulutly no fire to ignite the gas. This whole problem originated from a blown maxi fuse(a 40 amp & a 50 amp) I went and bought the 40 amp but I went all over town to every near by part store and could not find the 50 amp so I bought a 60 amp fuse and put it in the place of the 50 amp fuse & that is what caused this problem.
