why is there moisture in the headlights and how do I get rid of it

The housing is cracked somewhere along the seam. There was a service bulletin for early 1990s Caravans that involved drilling a drain hole in the bottom for this problem. Some newer housings have a small rubber tube on the back for a vent. If yours does, be sure it's not pinched off or blocked. Check the rubber o-ring around the base of the bulb to be sure it's not damaged.

Remove the bulb and let the housing air out on a warm dry day. If this happens again, you can try resealing the housing with a layer of silicone sealer, or you could drill a small drain hole on the bottom. The hole should be toward the rear so water spray won't find its way in on a rainy day.
