2001 Dodge Caravan one side of heater blows hot air

Heater problem
2001 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 108k miles

when we turn on the heater only the driver side gets very hot air like it used to, but now the passenger side gets cold air only.I checked the anti freeze levels and there ok what else can be causing this and how do I check to find out

It's pretty obvious. Do you have separate temp setting for left and right?

The temperature is controlled by the use of an air mix door that is operated by an electric motor/actuator. This door can be jammed or the actuator can be inoperative or have stripped plastic gears internally.
