My Caravan keeps overheating and produces no heat from the heater inside the van. I have replaced the thermostat and there is no contamination in the coolant or the oil. The smell of coolant is quite stong outside the van but I can't see any leaks. Once the res is topped up the coolant level will stay up for about a week before I have to add more.

I have a 2003 Caravan and is experiencing the same problem but not only does the car overheat the engine light has come on. I've replaced radiator, thermostat, hoses. Today the mechanic said the car was reading another misfire and that I need to change the ignition cables. So I hope someone can answer your problem because I am baffled by this situation and would love to know why the car is overheating. Good Luck!
