Had my Caravan's transmission rebuilt exactly one year ago. It has been leaking A LOT of fluid and I am out of the warranty period. I took it back in and, they said that they tightened things up. Still leaking fluid badly. Should I take it to another shop or would they charge me $2700 for another transmission job?

Honestly, it sounds like the transmission pan is leaking. If I'm correct and they retightened the pan, it will stay the same or get worse. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the transmission at this point. What I recommend is this. Craw under the vehicle and wipe the transmission pan dry. It is right up front, black, about 1'x1' in size. Then recheck it to see if that is where the leak is. If I'm correct, a new gasket with the trans filter will be around 20 dollars. Then you will need (aprox.) 4 quarts of ATF to refill it. I believe the 2000 takes ATF+4. It will say on the dipstick.

Let me know if this helps you.
