Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2000 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have to change the front wheel hub assembly ,a bering noise. some say you have to take tie rod off and knuckle ,some say just the 4-15mm bolts without removing all that .this is my first attempt at this .also what size is the axle nut in the center

You would have to remove the outer tie rod and lower ball joint to swing knuckle out far enough to get CV axle out, as well as brake caliper, bracket, pads and backing plate to expose hub.

You can get a loaner set of axle sockets from most auto parts stores, you pay deposit and when you return it you get all your money back.
Sizes are 30-32-34-36mm.
If you do not have impact gun, then loosen axle nut while car is on ground (don't remove just loosen a turn or two). If axle threads are rusted, then spray PB blaster on threads the night before.
