After sitting for two days I tried to start my engine and all I get is a series of rapid clicks as long as I hold the key in the start position.

I checked the battery and it is good and jumped it and the other engine didn't lug down at all when the cables were connected. From what I have been able to find out it is more likely the relay or solenoid than the starter itself. One place said that a single click would be the solenoid.

Is the relay the most likely culprit? If so what does the relay look like and where can I find it?

The relay is making the clicking noise but not because it's defective. It's a normal response to low battery voltage. If jump-starting didn't help, suspect loose or dirty battery cable connections. You will never get enough current from the jump-starting vehicle alone to crank your engine. You need your battery too.

If the cable connections are the problem, you will also notice the dome lights and headlights go out when cranking the engine. Normally they will just dim a little.

The comment about the solenoid is correct, but it will cause a single clunk when trying to crank the engine, and it will be louder than what you're hearing now. The worn contacts are very common and can be replaced for 20 bucks, but most people just replace the entire starter.

Also measure the battery voltage. Normal is 12.6 volts with the engine not running. If you find around 10 - 10.5 volts, suspect a dead cell in the battery. Often a jump start can not overcome the defective battery.
