There is a clockspring recall BUT there will be more comin with that whole multi function, brake switch, cruise, BUT the dash pins could be bad but most likely a sensor that has been set up to fail and send improper volts that will not engage relay to ? Unit/if 1 of four groups of problems exist ie. Abs, cruise, gauges or ck eng, gauges die and lights ON when turn off key, etc. The point is. We cant point at an item to say RECALL. CUZ the next lack or surge or bent wire or low batt will trigger A DIFF prob. So THEY started the "RE-Program YOUR COMP/Body Module CAMPAIGN!Nice little $400 REPAIR TICKET-its a sensor set up like a "Comp. Virus" BECAUSE. EVERY SINGLE UNIT WORKS UNDER DIRECT POWER EVEN IF FAULT CODE READS. SO UNTIL ENOUGH TSB'S (dEALER) TURN INTO RECALLS BY THEN THEY MAKE 3 TIMES THE MONEY AND HASSLE THAN TO MAKE BETTER PARTS, SIMPLER, ETC. I've had everry caravan prob before and its not because they are crappy (or I wouldnt have had them for 15 years-BUT only 3.3 and 3.8) its because they are difficult cause of vacuum, elect and hydraulics depend on each other. Get a "Auto Stethiscope", ( make sure you have CORRECT cloldcrank Amp Batt or dont try fix anything) listen for HISS leaks thru Vac SYS, ground, circuit faults, even brake pedal adjustment (could stall engine by tellin throttle control sens to stop) ETC ETC ETC Steve (970)310-4494
