My van lately has a problem with the condensation on the inside of the vehicle. During winter when the defrost heating is and more then one person is in the van it fogs up on the inside quite badly. Initially I thought this may be due to the intake vent for the air at the base of the windshield as I had water pooling there before which I corrected by removing windshield wipers and unclogging the hose that drains the vent. This however was not the problem. The internal air circulation button does not indicate it is on. The van is equipped with AC but does not work properly.
Thank you

Check the heater core, sounds like it has a hole in it somewhere. This is usually the reason for condensation inside the vehicle !

If the problem is the heater core will the condensation not be oily due to antifreeze. Could it be the ac compressor?

The A/C compressor is located in the engine compartment. Condensation inside the vehicle is generally caused by the heater core going bad. There may be 2 heater cores on your vehicle. One for the front heater system and one for the rear heating system (if equipped) !. You could pressure test the cores to see if they are bad. But this requires a special tool/kit and is best done at a shop with the necassary equipment !It may be worth testing the cores if you have 2 fitted. To see which is the bad one? Hope this helps. Thanks for the donation
