Transmission problem
1995 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 180k miles

Was driving around this morning and all the sudden I noticed a lack of power. The engine would rev, but the van wouldn't accelerate as quickly as it should be. I continued to drive for a few miles, stop and go. Then I noticed it was just revving even more with less acceleration. I had been pretty gentle on it, just wanting it to get home, but then I put the gas down a bit more to see if it would pickup and its just gave out, with no acceleration whatsoever.

The car still moves perfectly fine in reverse, but just revs it engine when placed in D, 2nd or 1st.

The tranny has been rebuilt ~50k miles ago, about ~20k miles ago, it wouldn't shift and would only move about 25mph. The problem with that was he transmission pan hit something and had a gash in it. Pan replaced and it was fine.

It has been suffering from some wheel wobble on acceleration, so I'm not sure if it has something to do with the suspension or if it is indeed the transmission.

Any help or opinions on what you think it might be would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If it moves in reverse, rule out the axles as a cause. So that leave the transmission.

It sounds like the forward drum is burnt up, you will need to have the transmission rebuilt.
