engine trys running but let go of key it stops,well sort of
it acts like older chryslers that had a ballest resistor on the firewall. need the location of relays under the hood
looking for deceleration cut-off relay

Hook up a wire from the battery positive cable to the ignition coil positive and try starting it again lets see what happens.

You sounded like you have a problem with the ignition circuit in the ignition switch or an open wire to the coil. Try above and let me know-
