My car seems to have trouble starting up, a couple ignition turns will do the job of turning it on, but whenever I turn it on, it is always on C. The trouble must have started when it started to become colder. Do I need more anti-freeze/coolant? Which brand is best for antifreeze?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The coolant is not causing the problem. Tell me, you mentioned it takes a couple times. Try this and let me know if it make a difference.

1) Turn the key to the run position (engine off) and count to 5
2) Turn key off
3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 three times.
4) On the forth time, see if the engine starts immediately and runs properly.

Do this and let me know the results. If this makes a difference, chances are you have fuel pressure drop off. If it does not make a difference, the coolant temperature sensor may be bad.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
