Put new front brakes on truck, calipers, pads and brackets along with hardware. The problem I have is the front passenger brake caliper slide pin bolts are digging into the rotor. The boots has plenty of grease and the calipers are on the corresponding sides bleeder valves are facing up and pads are installed correctly. Do I have a bad brake caliper?

Could I have a bad piston(s) in that front passenger caliper?

Thanks,
Matt

Hello, I'm Danny.

I've attached a picture below of the caliper mounting bolts and circled in red. Are you saying these caliper mounting bolts are interfering with the rotor? Also, can you take a picture with your cell phone and upload here? That would help us get a better idea. Get back to us and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the caliper bolts go through brake caliper bracket and touch rotor. Please see attached picture. Thanks

Hello again.

Yes, that shouldn't be happening. Did those bolts come in the new hardware kit or with the caliper? Also, do you have access to the brand and part numbers? That would help quite a bit. If you still the boxes or packages with numbers you take a picture and upload here again.I believe those bolts are the wrong length. Hope your having a great 4th weekend. Get back to me when you can and thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Thanks for the tip. You were right. Front passenger slide pins were too short in that brake caliper. Front drivers side were the right specs.

Awesome !
Glad you were able to correct the problem. Was the new rotor able to be re-usable? Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
