distributor to go bad?

What can cause the distributor to go bad three times in one year replaced distributor last year what can cause them to go bad?

There are usually three things that go bad causing the distributor to go out. First is a good frame to engine ground strap. Next is the ignition coil has high resistance and the third is you have a diode going out in the alternator which causes AC voltage to be generated.
