My data box to my car stopped working or is about to stop, the engine stalls while driving sometimes and my mechanic here in Sweden said that I need a new data box, I have not been able to locate a 1990 data box because they are hard to find especially here in Sweden. So my question for you is can I possibly use a data box from another year like 1992-93-94-95? Because I can get those but not the 1990.
please advice and thank you very much.

You cannot use a 1995 however try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and IAC hole with choke cleaner and check fuel pressure with a gauge 41-47 psi. Also, if you change the ECU make sure to put the prom from your car into other ECU.
